Annual Conversation on Race

October 9, 2018 @ 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm
River's Edge Convention Center

Create CommUNITY, a community initiative of organizations, businesses, schools and individuals, will present the 13th annual Conversation on Race on October 9th from 5p-8:30pm at the River’s Edge Convention Center. Interpreters will be available – Spanish, Somali and ASL.

This year we’ll have as our special guests, Blackout Improv, who will provide a new way and lens to unpack race and what racial justice looks like. Blackout Improv is a performance with a mix of comedy, social justice, and arts access. They seek to put Black performers on more stages, to create comedic dialogue around serious truths, and to provide improv access for Black students. Create CommUNITY’s mission is to dismantle racism through systemic change and to our vision is to provide a welcoming, non-discriminatory environment with respect and opportunity for all. This event is free and open to all. Please register by October 5th at
