There’s power in numbers

Has there ever been something shared at church that sticks with you throughout the entire week?

My pastor was talking about the importance of community, and he used an interesting analogy. He described the animal kingdom and the prey-versus-predator dynamic, noting that when prey animals stay in groups with others from their species, they're harder to hunt down.

And he connected that back to us as humans. Connected people are harder to destroy. The enemy goes around like a prowling lion, looking for who he's going to devour, but it's harder for him to come near you when you're surrounded by people that remind you of the truth: you are loved by Jesus, and your identity doesn't come from the things in this world, it comes from God.

The kind of people who stick together are the ones that it's harder for the enemy to take down. So, stay with your people.
